Schema markup is a block of code on a page, written in a shared vocabulary called schema.org, that states facts about the page in a form software can read without guessing. Your business name, what you do, where you are, when you are open and which questions you answer are all things a person takes in easily but a machine has to infer. Schema translates your content into a language machines can understand, so they no longer have to guess.
Done well, it helps Google understand your pages and gives AI tools a record they can trust. That record is your brand entity: one consistent description of the business, tied to the same company and people wherever they appear, and linked to your profiles elsewhere so the tools can join them up.
We write the markup to suit each page and check it in Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator before it goes live. It is one part of AI search optimisation, and a sensible part of technical SEO even if you never think about assistants.
We choose the types that match what is actually on each page, because markup that describes things the page does not say does more harm than good.

Can't see your question? Just ask. We still answer the phone.Structured data is the general term for facts labelled in a form software can read. Schema markup is the most common way to add it, using the schema.org vocabulary that Google and the other search engines support. In practice the two terms are used interchangeably.
It is code on a page, using the schema.org vocabulary, that labels the facts on it: who you are, what you offer, where you are and which questions you answer. Search engines and AI tools can then read those facts directly instead of working them out from the text.
It is the single, consistent record of your business: the name, what you do, where you are and how to contact you. Schema is how that record is written on your site, and links to your profiles elsewhere tie the same record together.
For a single simple page, a generator gives you valid code to paste in. The difficulty is keeping it right: it has to match the page, match your other pages and change when your details change. That is the part we take on.
Google has said structured data is not a ranking factor in itself. It helps search engines understand the page and can make you eligible for richer results, and it gives AI tools a clear record to draw on.
Probably not. Google now shows FAQ rich results for only a small set of sites. We still mark up real questions because it states them clearly, but we would not promise a visible change in the results.
Plugins add sensible defaults, but they describe a site generically and often miss local business details, services and links to your profiles. We extend or replace what they output and make sure there are no duplicate or conflicting blocks.
